    GSD® is an internationally recognised and renowned PMT System, comprised of two distinct elements, the GSD Database®, which forms the heart and integrity of the system, and the GSD for Windows® software, which is the vehicle that “drives” the GSD Database®.
     
    GSD®’s history begins in the 1940’s, when the first “Method Time Measurement” systems were devised and published. These “MTM” systems were developed to measure the human motions involved in undertaking repetitive work task and proved very effective in defined “best method” and deriving manufacturing time. They were also, however, not designed for specific industry sectors, quite complex and time consuming to use.
     
    GSD® was amongst the earliest systems that were focused toward a specific industry - the sewn products sector. As such, GSD® is exceptionally simple, quick and easy to use and has been tried, tested and proven on an international footing for over 25 years. A world leader in it’s own right, and now acknowledge by the International Labour Office in Geneva as being an industry standard.
